Too often, “medical necessity” as defined by health insurance companies does not consider comfort as a priority. Children are often provided with medical strollers and standers, which are great, but do not provide kids with a comfortable place to relax at home. Unfortunately, for kids like Enzo, who have Cerebral Palsy, standard seating devices are not practical or safe. A scholarship from Growing Wildflowers will allow Enzo’s family to purchase a medical seating device (special bean bag chair) to provide Enzo with safe, stabilized, and comfortable seating to use while enjoying time as a family.
